Once you've set up the Slack integration and verified it is working, your users' Vertice accounts need to be linked to Slack before they can use the app.
You can allow users to link themselves or link them yourself in Vertice.
Allow users to link themselves
Get started using the Vertice app in Slack guides users through the self-linking process. We recommend sharing this guide as part of your initial rollout and to new users as they join your organization
Linking users in Vertice
Vertice can automatically match and link all eligible users with their equivalent account in Slack or you can choose which users to link yourself.
Allow automatic matching
All users who have both a login for Vertice and Slack using the same email will be matched and linked. Once they are linked, they can begin using the app.
Go to Settings → Integrations
Click View on the Slack tile
Enable Automatically connect users with matching emails
Automatic matching occurs every day at 00:00 UTC. Any newly added Vertice users will automatically be matched and linked in the next sync.
Note
A user's Vertice email must be identical to their Slack email for a match to be successful. In the event of match failures, double-check and address any discrepancies either by updating their details in Vertice or Slack and then wait for the next automatic sync. Contact Vertice Support if issues persist.
Match users manually
This method allows you to choose which users are matched and linked.
This is also a useful method if you need to modify an existing match after an automatic match failure or if you'd like to match two accounts with different email addresses.
