Integrating your organization's Vertice account with Slack allows you and your colleagues to initiate procurement workflows and receive notifications in your Slack workspace. You can also interact with Vertice AI which can provide instant, AI-powered answers about your procurement stack and insights based on our proprietary dataset.
The end-to-end set-up process involves an initial set-up of the integration in Vertice and then testing the connection by installing the Vertice app in Slack and linking your account.
You will then need to decide whether you'd like to install and link your colleagues' accounts on their behalf or allow them to do it themselves.
Before you begin
You must have the following permissions to set up this integration. If you don't have these permissions, pass this guide to your platform administrator.

Click Agents & tools in the left side-bar menu
Click Apps in the sidebar menu
Find Vertice in the list
Click the Vertice card
Click Open app
3. Link your account
Linking your account is the final step which completes the connection between Slack and your Vertice account. You cannot use the Vertice app until you have linked your account.
Switch to the Home tab in the app window
Click Connect Vertice account
Click Confirm link to complete the process
You'll receive a message in Slack from the Vertice app letting you know the connection is successful. You can now use the Vertice app.
We recommend you perform a few tests to ensure everything is working as you expect. Interact with the Vertice app through the chat: try asking to see your organization's active contracts or open requests or ask for more details about a vendor.
For help with any issues, contact Vertice support.
Next steps
Now the integration is set up and working, you'll need to decide how to manage your organization's access to the app. See Linking user accounts following a Slack integration for more information.
Vertice will automatically start connecting Vertice users to their Slack account if an exact email match is found. Once linked, the users will receive a welcome message in Slack and can begin using Vertice AI.
See Manually matching Vertice users after integrating Slack if you'd prefer to match users manually or if a match has failed.
